Sandy booked Mickey Gilley into the Lone Star Cafe. New York knew he was there. Sandy was able to get the "Welcome to NY" message on the screen in Times Square.
Sandy also got the idea to do the nationally syndicated radio show, Live from Gilley's, on this trip. It aired for many years on 550 radio stations across the country. |
